Administration Rules 

  • Team Registration/Admin fees

    • Registration will be open next week on the Wildfire website (we will also email out a link).  

    • All teams must be registered by Nov 1st.  

    • Admin fees will be billed out along with the first event’s entry fee

  • Officials

    • Must use paid & certified officials

    • We will host an official’s clinic

      • Clubs must have a representative present or they will not be eligible to host events

      • That rep is responsible for training any people they plan on using as an official.  

      • An official from an accredited official’s association is exempt from the clinic but must be educated on league rules/protocol/procedures

    • Proposed clinic date: TBA

    • We will not use R2s

  • Scorekeeping

    • Do we want official scoring?

      • Clubs vote: YES

      • Full scorekeeping will be utilized

      • We are researching if AAU provides an online officials clinic similar to USAV as some clubs do not participate in USAV events and do not have access to their training materials. 

      • Lineup sheets are not necessary; coaches can simply write their lineup directly on the scoresheet

  • Sites    

    • Issues and/or restrictions will be published at the beginning of the season for each venue

    • I will email directors for site availability but PLEASE ensure your site is available.  Check with your ADs/point of contacts BEFORE you commit your facility

    • Deadlines

      • Nov 1 – facility info (# of courts, addresses, limitations, etc.)

      • Nov 15 – weekend availability 

    • Concession are highly recommended/encouraged 

    • Must be able to provide a MINIMUM of 10 balls/court

  • Capping scores

    • Clubs voted: YES; 27 & 17 points

    • Will not pertain to championship event

  • Rosters

    • All clubs required to submit an AAU roster following the Dec event.  

    • Officials will be responsible for checking the roster at the start of the day. 

    • Any athlete not listed is ineligible 

    • Rosters will be published on a Google Drive document and access given to directors

      • Site directors are responsible for printing the appropriate rosters for the site and provide them to the officials  

  • Mid-season reseed

    • Must be requested by director with valid reasons/stats to warrant request

    • Only granted if spots are available in the requested division

  • Club literature/promotional items

    • PROHIBITED
